Media: 85% Painter 6.1; 15% Photoshop 7.0 Time: Some excrutiating sum of hours... Date of Completion: August something, 2003
I remember I was retracing this picture on the day of the Great Blackout. On the first blow of blackout chaining, I lost about 3 hour worth of work. I was stupid enough to keep trying, and lost about 4-5 hours total until I gave up/ my bro turned the TV on and found out what was happening. Bleh. XP;;
My biggest beef here is the composition -- this drawing originally started out as a very wide, semi-symmetric image, then I decided to leave the right 2/3 of the picture out. I've messed up the already-not-very-outstanding composition many times by doing similar procedures, and I did it again. TT
The water sucks, too, but let's not mope about that. I'm satisfied enough that it shows some improvement from this picture. Water is a fascinating subject, and hopefully I will do better next time.
I like the part behind her right thigh (your left), where the blue sash forms a cross. It looks misteeee, the wall and everything.
